Thus the Islamic Republic of Iran, inspired by Islamic teachings, gave priority to the spread of science and thus paved the ground for scientific growth and development in the country by supporting the creativity and talent of Iranian nation.

The domineering powers are now seeking to hinder the scientific progress of nations and try to hamper the spread of science in the developing countries by monopolizing modern sciences and technologies in fields like nuclear and medical science and sophisticated industrial and technical arenas. On the one hand the world powers, by forming unified military forces like NATO, are seeking to have a military hegemony over the world; they are also intensively in pursuit of creating scientific monopoly especially in sensitive and sophisticated sciences like nuclear technology.

Today access to advanced sciences paves the way for a sustainable development. In the past three decades, the Islamic Republic of Iran has managed through ceaseless efforts to rank among the progressive countries of the world in advanced sciences. Every year, the Iranian youths gain high ranks and win medals of Honor by winning successive breakthroughs in the great global scientific and specialized Olympiads. The software movement and science production in Iran is the outcome of two main principles, namely, self-belief and hope in the future. Since the victory of the Islamic revolution, these two fundamental principles became the basis of scientific move and progress of the Iranian nation and despite all obstructionism by the enemies; the Iranian nation has not become brow-beaten and has powerfully moved forward to counter the unjust sanctions and threats.

Despite the US obstructionism and enforcement of economic sanctions, the Iranian nation has managed to take big strides. Gaining access to advanced sciences like multiplication of stem cells, genetic cloning, aeronautics, satellite launching, production of sensitive medicine to treat hard-to-cure or apparently incurable diseases like AIDS and implementation of research projects of different genetic engineering fields in agricultural products and fisheries are among Iran's scientific and research achievements in the recent years.

The negation of hegemony and removing impacts of colonialism in Iran has indeed been manifested as the Islamic revolution's charter, indicating that the Islamic revolution has not only been a political movement opposing the mercenary monarchic regime in Iran but it firmly believes in Islamic and human ideals and principles. In view of this logical and rational belief Islamic republic of Iran has succeeded to get rid of the two-century long scientific backwardness.

A glance at the indexes of growth, scientific, economic, technological and industrial development in Iran shows that Iran has presently ranked among the first 16 countries at world level in terms of economic growth and by enjoying continued economic growth with over 6.5 percent in the recent years it ranks first among the Middle East states in many growth indexes including public health, investment security and the increase of productivity in domestic industries.

The rapid increase of Iran’s scientific valid articles in the world research centers to over 13,000 compared to the mere 500 of the first years after the victory of the Islamic revolution is indicative of the speed of scientific growth in Iran. Based on the results of scientific researches, the Islamic Republic of Iran ranks 21 in terms of medical scientific products in the world. Iran also ranks first in the Middle East in medicinal products in nanotechnolgoy method.

In addition, many Iranian experts are prepared to export technology and engineering services from Iran in the fields of steel industry, refinery construction and transfer of skills in nanotechnology and implementing engineering projects of electricity industries in dam-building and construction of power plants in other countries.

As the supreme leader of the Islamic revolution has stressed several times that the Iranian nation will never be satisfied with what has so far obtained and it is in need of a great struggle to achieve all-out power; and the Iranian nation believes that it can very quickly go through this path.

In the field of aeronautics and production of conventional defensive requirements, Iran has achieved great progresses some of which have so far been put to display in different occasions. The application of solid fuel in launching missile, starting operation of five major space projects during the ten days of dawn including Tolou, Mesbah 2 satellites and Simorgh satellite carrier as well as tens of other achievements indicate the continuation of scientific progress in Iran. The growth and power of the Islamic Iran has never been aimed at dominating or threatening others. On the contrary, the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic system, based on the teachings of Islam, are fully committed to ethics and spirituality in all fields and consider knowledge in the service of peace, security and welfare of human societies particularly the Muslim Ummah. Based on this, the Islamic Republic of Iran's officials have frequently declared that Iran's scientific achievements belong to all peace-seeking and justice-seeking countries particularly the Islamic world and Iran is prepared to transfer its scientific achievements to the regional states and neighbors so that all benefit from the blessing of progress and security
